I have a carbon fiber road bike and riding that bike on the roads is a pain in the ass such a rigid material for a bike frame I can only imagine what carbon skates feel like.

big difference is the frame of the bike absorbs impact, the boot of a skate doesn't, aside from the very bottom of it, but it is much less a factor than the frame, wheels and footbeds.
